Yahoo Anti Virus

A malicious virus can bring your computer to a standstill (or worse). Much worse. That's why Yahoo! is constantly on the lookout for new viruses and ways to stop them.*

Yahoo! Mail automatically scans all incoming and outgoing email attachments for known viruses. Yahoo uses industry-leading Norton AntiVirus software, so you don't have to do a thing.

Download the attachment and wait for that reassuring message "No Virus Threat Detected." If a virus is detected, it will be cleaned if possible, and you'll be given further instructions.

* Remember, not all viruses can be detected and cleaned.

There's a risk involved whenever you download email attachments to your computer or send email attachments to others. As stated in our Terms of Service, neither Yahoo! nor its licensors are responsible for any damages caused by your decision to download email attachments.

Go to MTV & Billboard Top 20 Music Chart .

You may find top 20 singles, modern rocks and hip hop. All of them are updated list.

Now, you got the lists.

For example, you want to download Pink "So What" .

Now, go to labkom. Type " Pink So What " (without quotes) on the provided input box. Click Search It!

You'll shown the direct link for the song you're searching for.

You may download from 4 shared, esnips, ijigg, mp3realm, tagoo and wrzuta .

Before downloading, you may also preview the song by clicking ' Listen ' link.

After you decided that you want to download it, you may click ' Download ' link. I've tested the download link source and they all support download manager (at least DownThemAll plugin for Firefox).

Just for your notes, if you downloaded from wrzuta , sometimes downloaded file does not have '.mp3' suffix. So you must add it manually before you can play it.

Send SMS From Gmail

Gmail Labs has been introducing features left and right, and this time they have come up with a really useful functionality that will allow you to send and receive SMS text messages from within your Gmail account in Chat.

To activate the chat feature go to Settings -> Labs and activate text messaging in chat.

Once you have activate the SMS feature you can send a SMS to any of your contacts by clicking on the options in a chat window.

Once you click on the send SMS option you will see a new option pop-up where you can enter the phone number where you want to send the SMS message to.

You basically receive two SMS message the first time, the first telling you about the service and the second that contains the actual message.

This is a real great feature to contact people when they are not online, however this service is only available in US right now.

Note: Regular SMS rates may apply.

Google Launched 'Google Chrome'

Chrome is the web browser just released by Google. So far, I've noticed a couple of operational tips.

Back and Forward buttons will allow multiple-page back and forward, just click and hold, then a pull-down will appear with pages you can directly access.

The Incognito feature, allowing 'stealth' browsing, is accessed from the "current page icon", on the right end of the address bar. Just pull down the box, and choose "New Incognito window".

Like Gmail marks, the star to the left of the address bar creates bookmarks. Click on this to Add or edit.

Tabs, located at the top of the window, can be moved by click-drag to sort, or will start a new Chrome window if dropped off the application.

That's all there is for now, I'm sure more to come! Try it out, http://www.google.com/chrome

Spam Spam Spam. What Is Spam?

Spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Most spam is commercial advertising, often for dubious products, get-rich-quick schemes, or quasi-legal services. Spam costs the sender very little to send -- most of the costs are paid for by the recipient or the carriers rather than by the sender.

There are two main types of spam, and they have different effects on Internet users. Cancellable Usenet spam is a single message sent to 20 or more Usenet newsgroups. (Through long experience, Usenet users have found that any message posted to so many newsgroups is often not relevant to most or all of them.) Usenet spam is aimed at "lurkers", people who read newsgroups but rarely or never post and give their address away. Usenet spam robs users of the utility of the newsgroups by overwhelming them with a barrage of advertising or other irrelevant posts. Furthermore, Usenet spam subverts the ability of system administrators and owners to manage the topics they accept on their systems.
Email spam targets individual users with direct mail messages. Email spam lists are often created by scanning Usenet postings, stealing Internet mailing lists, or searching the Web for addresses. Email spams typically cost users money out- of-pocket to receive. Many people - anyone with measured phone service - read or receive their mail while the meter is running, so to speak. Spam costs them additional money. On top of that, it costs money for ISPs and online services to transmit spam, and these costs are transmitted directly to subscribers.

One particularly nasty variant of email spam is sending spam to mailing lists (public or private email discussion forums.) Because many mailing lists limit activity to their subscribers, spammers will use automated tools to subscribe to as many mailing lists as possible, so that they can grab the lists of addresses, or use the mailing list as a direct target for their attacks.

Blogspot is No-Follow Blog, Why Commenting on It?

Did you know that blogspot.com blog is not a "do follow" blog (in the comment)?

Theoretically, it doesn't add more backlink to your site, thus not increasing the search engine ranking for your site.
Is it useful commenting on a "nofollow" blogs?

The answer is (in my opinion): It's still useful. It's right that Search Engine doesn't follow the link to your site but it increase your site visibility in term of organic user/visitor.
So, don't hesitate to use your site URL as an ID when commenting on blogs, regardless it's do-follow or not.

Most common mistake when using URL as an ID on comment. Many commenter don't provide ' http://' prefix before their site. It's bad because Blogger will automatically change link without ' http://' prefix with relative-path link from the blog address.

For example, if you only put www.you.com without ' http://' as the URL on your comment ID in this blog, blogger will change it into http://rubencook.blogspot.com / www.you.com .
So, don't forget to add the ' http://' prefix on your URL.

Just my thought!
